Meet our partners:
We only work with trusted manufacturers and suppliers who not only grow the herbs but also follow traditional Ayurvedic methods of preparation as outlined in the Vedas. They uphold our values and share the same vision for protecting the tradition of Ayurveda and environmental practices.
Our herbs are grown in the Sirumalai hills, in the Western Ghats. Spanning over 20 acres, the Estate is surrounded by 30,000 acres of reserve forest, teeming with a vast range of flora, fauna, and old medicinal Ayurvedic plants. Using only natural organic farming practices, there is no use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Organic and Ethical Harvesting
Ethically harvested by the Palliyans, the local tribal community, who have a deep knowledge of the medicinal herbs, their habitats and proper harvesting techniques, we prioritise species conservation, banning the use of herbs close to extinction. We harvest seasonally and in small mindful batches, taking only what we need. Diversifying harvest sites to prevent over-exploitation and maintain ecological balance.
Quality and Efficacy
When it comes to efficacy there is no compromise. In Ayurveda, the timing of harvest is crucial, as different parts of the plants reach their peak of medicinal efficacy at specific times of the year. By aligning our harvests with nature's rhythms, we harness the potency of the herbs. Once collected our supplements are formulated using traditional methods of preparation as outlined in the Vedic pharmacopoeia, enhancing efficacy and potency. Each batch is produced in small quantities to ensure we are never overstocked and nothing goes to waste.
Our Packaging:
Our dedication to leaving a lighter footprint on the planet, means we have an ongoing commitment to constantly review our packaging practices. We have taken great care to use only 100% recycled PET plastic, making sure we don’t add to the single-use plastic waste. We use only paper labelling and paper packaging where possible. Our long-term goal is to move to refills and recyclable glass packaging by 2026, once the company can support it.
Supporting Conservation and Our Pledge:
We are honoured to support our partners in their Sirumalai Conservation project whose mission is to stop deforestation & preserve the delicate balance of biodiversity and ecological harmony. We pledge a % of our annual sales will be reinvested in this land, safeguarding its resident wildlife and the invaluable flora thriving within this dynamic ecosystem.
